What is llms.txt?

An llms.txt file is to LLMs what a sitemap is to Google: a structured overview that helps AI search engines understand, summarise and cite your site correctly. ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews use this signal to determine what you do, what you specialise in and which pages matter.

The format is open, requires no login, and all major AI crawlers now support it. For companies in Bitcoin, AI and fintech — sectors where AI search is capturing a growing share of traffic — this is no longer a nice-to-have.
